For this light-filled penthouse in the West Village, we were tasked with finding balance between a couple’s opposing tastes. Longtime clients that we have continued to work with as their family grows, one half of the couple gravitates toward bohemian color and the other prefers subtle elegance. The result was clean lines with pops of color, creating an elevated yet functional look while custom metal cladding on the fireplace and hand-painted wallpaper emphasized the 20-foot ceilings in the living room.
